Picturesque Outdoor Wedding Ceremony Locations in Philadelphia

Picturesque Outdoor Wedding Ceremony Locations in Philadelphia

When you have envisioned your wedding day, have you pictured standing outside in a beautiful gown flowing in the breeze, with the sun shining down on you and your partner? There is something so special about an outdoor ceremony—a lush, natural setting full of vibrant life as you set out on your new journey as a married couple. When searching for a location for your wedding, it’s incredibly rare that a venue will have more than one outdoor ceremony site, but here at Springton Manor Farm, we actually have three options that can seat up to 250 guests!

After you tie the knot, you can continue to enjoy the stunning landscapes for cocktail hour before moving to the reception, which is hosted in the prominent peaked outdoor tent located right next to the old farmhouse on the property.

We’re going to take you on a journey through all three potential ceremony locations on-site at Springton Manor Farm to allow you to picture you and your partner there on your first day as a married couple.

Century-Old Linden Tree

Perhaps the most iconic location on-site is the century-old linden tree. This stately, historic natural landmark has been the backdrop for hundreds of picturesque ceremonies at Springton Manor Farm over the years. The tree’s sprawling branches provide the perfect amount of shade on a hot summer day and are a spectacular sight when the leaves begin to change in the fall. It’s the perfect backdrop to say your vows and makes for dreamy photos full of lush greenery surrounding you and your partner during one of the most special moments of your lives.

We also love the symbolism of getting married under a deep-rooted tree that has weathered many storms. We believe that over the years, your marriage will grow as strong and bold as the beautiful century-old linden tree where your journey as a new family began!

Tented Perennial Gardens

If you and your partner love florals, gardens and bold colors, the perennial garden is a perfect ceremony spot. The perfectly groomed gardens are filled with beautiful blooms gleaming with bold pink, yellow and purple hues among plenty of greenery and natural features. The aisle you’ll walk down is visibly carved out of the gardens, making for a lovely ceremony entry that will captivate your guests and never be forgotten. You can enter via the gardens and hillside or the gazebo to choose the ceremony backdrop that best fits you.

The best part? You have an automatic built-in rain plan in the same location. We’ve recently added a lovely brick patio amid the gardens that is completely tented and can withstand even the harshest conditions.

Walnut Grove

The Walnut Grove is the ultimate green space on-site. Surrounded by tons of gorgeous old beech trees, they provide a natural barrier, creating a unique space to get married. While outdoors, it feels like an actual event “space” naturally enclosed by these beautiful trees. Many couples decide to hang florals featuring their wedding colors from the branches or place a gorgeous arbor or custom-built floral wall amid the trees for a customized setting.

It’s a perfect spot for summer weddings due to the tree coverage and close proximity to cocktail hour and reception locations so guests don’t have to stay out in the heat for too long.
